Check out our recent Social Club outings! This awesome group of young adults, ages 17–24, meets each month to share laughs, build friendships, and make memories together.

They’ve enjoyed a night out at Buffalo Wild Wings as well as a pizza and game night. We love watching the joy, connection, and community that grow with every get-together 💙

Embracing Abilities is seeking a dedicated Instructional Assistant to join our DREAM program team! In this role, you will work alongside our Instructional Leader and fellow Instructional Assistants to support and supervise the daily activities of program participants. The DREAM program serves individuals with a range of developmental disabilities, focusing on fostering independence, skill-building, and meaningful community engagement.

As an Instructional Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring students receive exceptional care, guidance, and support, positively impacting their success in the program.

We are excited to introduce EmpowerHER - a monthly social group for young women ages 18–24 designed to build confidence, connection, and community! EmpowerHer is designed to be a safe, supportive space for young women with intellectual and developmental disabilities to make friends, share experiences, and celebrate who they are.

Each month, members will dive into fun, feminine, and empowering topics while enjoying activities like dinner outings, coffee dates, nail nights, face masks, shopping trips, and crafting.

🗓️ Meets: 1st Thursday of each month, starting January 2026
⏰ 5:30-7:30 PM
💰 $20 monthly dues + personal spending money (no waiver billing)

We love our Service Coordinators! Today, our amazing team gathered at the Avon office for their quarterly SC Brunch & Learn.

Our Service Coordinators are the heart of what we do. They are dedicated to supporting individuals and families every step of the way. They serve as the main point of contact for families, ensuring smooth communication between all services, keeping everyone informed on hours and units, answering provider questions, and sharing helpful resources to make the process easier.

We’re so grateful for all that you do! 💙

The evening is private pay ($20 per person) and offers a fun opportunity to enjoy great conversations, make new connections, and maybe even find a match! Note: Participants do not have to be current Embracing Abilities consumers.

How it works: Each participant will receive a card and rotate through a series of short conversations with other attendees, noting whether they’re interested or not interested after each interaction. Following the event, our Programming Director will contact participants who made a mutual match to share contact information.
