Families and friends have been gathering… posts full of smiles are dropping like hotcakes. It may seem like the world’s troubles have paused.

We know the tension under the laughter, and the deep sorrow under so many smiles.

To those struggling, especially those with an empty seat at your table this year, we see you. 🧡 It’s ok to feel sad even when it seems like the whole world is smiling. Grief is the language of love and it just seems to work like that.

When you feel yourself getting stressed or anxious, practicing mindfulness is a great way to calm your thoughts and nerves. The purpose is to help yourself not obsess over what happened yesterday or what might happen later, but to focus on the here and now, and this moment. Mindfulness helps you recognize your feelings but not be overtaken by them. It helps you pause and think before responding. When you practice this pause, it helps to clear your mind so that you can make rational decisions. Try these short steps today. 🧡
