I have a question for my healthcare network…

Are there any healthcare systems that offer paid time off for providers to volunteer or participate in community service days?

I’ve heard of programs like this existing, but I haven’t been able to make the right connections or find clear examples.

If your organization does this—or if you’ve seen it done well somewhere else—I would love to learn more. Even general guidance or a point in the right direction would be incredibly helpful.

We’re always looking for creative ways to expand access to care and serve our community well, and this seems like a meaningful opportunity if it exists.

If you know me, you know I feel incredibly blessed to be part of Hope—and truly blessed to do the work I get to do each day.

One of my favorite parts of this role is getting out into the community and seeing “Hope in Action.” Over the past week, I’ve had the opportunity to be part of an event with the Town of Plainfield - Government, visit two mission partners—Avon United Methodist Church and Crossroads Church - Avon, IN—spend time with the incredible team at Family Promise Hendricks County, attend a SOFR meeting alongside Hendricks County Health Department and so many other amazing community partners, and present at the Plainfield Rotary, just to name a few.

What stands out most is this: we are surrounded by an incredible community. So many organizations, leaders, and volunteers who genuinely care about our neighbors and about each other. It’s powerful to see what happens when people come together with a shared heart to serve—community supporting community.

I’m grateful to play even a small part in it, and I truly appreciate all of you who are making a difference every single day.

Hope, help, and healing—together.

Family Promise Hendricks County is a great partner of Hope, an incredible asset in our community, and a source of real help for so many families in times of need.

They are currently experiencing an urgent need for food donations, and this is a meaningful opportunity for our community to step in and support one another.

Sorry for any inconvenience. There is utility work at the entrance off U.S. 36, but Hope is still open today. You can access Park Place Boulevard by coming in off 100 North and driving through the Harvest Ridge subdivision. Your GPS should bring you straight in.
