Let’s break down Eagle pose and some of our favorite benefits 🦅

Eagle pose (Garudasana) is a standing balance posture that brings you into present moment focus, providing a deep hip stretch that opens up the back of the lungs and challenges your mind and body awareness.

1. Stretches hips deeply. Eagle pose is a deep hip opener. The further you sit back in the chair position, and the tighter you wrap your legs, the deeper the hip stretch.

2. Promotes deep breathing. Wrapping your arms in front of you helps open the back of the lungs, increasing the ability to breathe deeply.

3. Increases focus and balance. Setting your gaze on a fixed point ahead of you while balancing challenges your concentration and allows you to come fully into the present moment. Balance will improve with practice.

4. Helps open the shoulders. Whether you make the full bind or simply bring your arms to touch as a variation, eagle pose will help stretch and open up tight shoulders.

The interval training method combines short, high intensity bursts of speed with slow recovery periods of low impact activity or rest and helps to improve your performance incredibly. We use this technique in our HIIT classes, as well as 26&2 Hot Yoga! Here’s a few of the benefits! 👇👇👇
1️⃣ It Makes You Happy 🥰 Interval training creates a surge of endorphins, the natural opiates your brain produces as a result of difficult exercise. Because of its short bursts of strenuous activity, interval training drastically boosts endorphin production, so you’ll experience a true “runners high” or “yoga high” and will feel happy and energized after your workout.

2️⃣ Cardiovascular Benefits!🫀 Although high intensity intervals accelerate your heart rate, Interval training can actually decrease strain on your heart.
