We are incredibly thankful to all Veterans, including the 10 Veterans who reside at Nashoba Park. On Tuesday, we had a Veterans lunch, the VFW honored each Veteran with a citation, children gave them balloons and hand written thank you notes and we unveiled our Veterans wall! We appreciate and thank each and every Veteran for your service.

Our residents like to have fun and celebrate at Nashoba Park and Halloween was EXTRA FUN! We kicked off our Costume Party with a silly game between Managers, We wore costumes, Trick or Treated, heard a spooky story told by resident Edie, enjoyed a Halloween Happy Hour featuring a fun cocktail/mocktail with snacks and announced all of our contest winners!

Closest Candy Corn Guess- Dennis (only 3 off)
Best Resident Costume- Jean, dressed as Dorothy
Best Associate Costume- Kerry the scary clown

Our Discovery Learning program was a Disney dream come true last week! A staff member gave four presentations that had residents completely absorbed. We also created our own Disney ears, listened to Disney soundtracks, watched Disney movies, and did Disney word puzzles. To conclude the week, we wore our ears and crowns to Happy Hour, admired a display of Disney memorabilia, and took part in the Disney Pin Trading phenomenon. Each resident received an authentic Disney pin and got to decide whether to keep it or trade it - some were too fond of their gift to trade, while others traded with enthusiasm, feeling the wonder of Disney!

Our Friends and Family Oktoberfest was enjoyed by all last week! The beautiful weather was perfect for our concert with Kalifornia Karl! We indulged in a fabulous meal of brats, roasted vegetables, sauerkraut and spatzle with a delicious cider sangria and festive brews!
