Butter making was both fun and delicious. We started by shaking cream in jars, then switched to using a be**er, which was much quicker. We ended up with fresh butter and buttermilk. We mixed the butter with cinnamon and sugar as well as garlic salt, and enjoyed it all on a bun!

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do.

One of our residents, Roger, was absolutely glowing today! He was showing off his medication cup. Inside? A fun picture placed there by his nurse, Kari.

Roger shared that she does this regularly, and that he’s been saving the cups. On days when he’s feeling down, he looks through them and it lifts his spirits. He wanted her to know how much it means to him-and that she is a wonderful nurse.

These small, thoughtful acts are anything but small. They are the heart of person-centered care and a true reflection of our values.

Thank you, Kari, for truly making a difference every single day. The care you provide does not go unnoticed.

Even as winter made its presence known outside, our CNRC team made time during the day to come together for our annual Staff Christmas Party!

A huge thank you to our Dietary Department for preparing such delicious food it was the perfect way to warm up and refuel. What made this celebration especially meaningful was seeing staff who were working hard caring for our residents still take time to enjoy great food, games, and a little fun with their coworkers.

The laughter and energy throughout the day were a wonderful reminder of the teamwork that keeps CNRC running strong. One of the photos also captures our annual Christmas Decorating Contest, where the Administrative Team claimed the win for the second year in a row and continues to hold the “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner” trophy as our reigning champions. You’ll also see photos highlighting our Medallion Hunt winner, along with many of the creative and festive decorating entries that made this year’s celebrations extra special.

Merry Christmas to all our amazing staff, and thank you for braving the weather, caring for our residents, and making CNRC such a special place to work.
