We’ve added a small retail corner at Lighthouse, and I’m really excited about it.

You’ll now find a curated selection of beautiful workout outfits from Wilder Grace, a fun new collection of sticky socks, and some of my longtime favorites from doTERRA.

What makes this addition extra special is the partnership behind it. Wilder Grace is owned by Ali, one of our own instructors here at Lighthouse. Being able to support her business while offering pieces that genuinely fit our community feels really meaningful. Everything in this space was chosen with intention. Pieces we love. Pieces we actually use. Pieces that support how we move and how we feel.

We even tucked a small changing space into the cubby area, so if something catches your eye, you can try it on before or after class.

Next time you’re in for class, take a few minutes to wander, browse, and check it out. I’m really proud of this little addition and even more proud of the people we get to partner with here.

We are so delighted to welcome Makayla to the Lighthouse studio as our newest Bata instructor! Makayla has been part of this studio for a long time. She knows what it feels like to walk through these doors on day one. She knows what it means to stick with it. To get stronger. To find your people here. Watching her step to the front of the room after all these years was a really special moment for me.

She brings heat. She brings humor. She brings that spark that makes you forget you’re mid set and your legs are shaking. Her classes are going to move. They’ll be sweaty and loud and joyful. You’ll work, but you’ll also have a really good time doing it.

I’m just really proud of her for saying yes to this next step. And I love that this place continues to grow leaders from within.

If you see Makayla on the schedule, take her class. You’ll be glad you did.

A friendly reminder from the Lost & Found department at Lighthouse.

As you can see, Kristin is currently modeling a full collection of forgotten treasures. Water bottles. Socks. Hats. A coat. And a few mystery items that have clearly lived a good life here.

If you’ve been wondering where that one thing went, there’s a very good chance it’s hanging out at the front desk. Swing by before or after class and take a look. Your belongings are waiting patiently to be reunited with you.

And if not, Kristin may be starting a new fashion line...

If you need some encouragement, a little push, this is it. Don’t wait until you’re ready, don’t wait until you’ve lost the weight or cleared the schedule…. Just come in!… as you are, we’ve got you.

You may have noticed a small change in the way the props are stacked next to each mat.

As the studio has grown and become larger, we added more mats, but we wanted to make sure everyone can still see into the mirrors. That means the mats now sit just a little closer together. With that shift, the old way of stacking weights no longer worked.

So now the 8 lb weights sit on the bottom, pointing away from the wall. The 4 lb weights rest above them, parallel to the wall. The 2 lb weights sit on top, perpendicular again. Your mat, block, and band can still be stacked behind the weights just like before.

It may seem like a tiny detail, but it was a very intentional one.
Every decision we make in this space is in service of you.
Comfort. Flow. Visibility. Ease. We want your experience here to feel thoughtful, supported, and calm from the moment you step onto your mat.

I am teaming up with Ali from (who also happens to be one of our beloved Lighthouse instructors) in the very best way.

Ali and I have donated an incredible live auction package for the auction this year: a full year at Lighthouse and a full year of monthly massages at Renew.

Movement. Care. Consistency. A whole year of being supported.

Last Friday gave us one of those moments that reminds us why this place feels different and special.

Kristin walked in a little worn down after a full week, saw Kira, and half jokingly asked if she wanted to teach her class. Almost immediately, Ali and Terra walked in and said they could help too. Then Ashley came through the door and of course she was pulled in as well.

What followed was a fully collaborative class, built in real time by the people who hold this community every day.
Terra opened with stretch and plank work.

Kristin led arms.
Kira took thighs.
Ali guided seat.
Ashley closed us out with core, goodbye, and final stretch.

It was seamless and it was magic.

This is Lighthouse.
Instructors who show up for one another.
A team that steps in without hesitation.
A room that holds you even on the tired days.

We got this message from our very own Laurel Devine. Proof that the work you put in shows up in the most unexpected ways.

Her words, shared exactly as written:

Happy New Year!
I had to share a “Lighthouse” victory!
I went to the beach yesterday morning for a casual beach swim and wound up participating in a sprint beach triathlon including a run, swim, underwater kettlebell carry and outrigger canoe segment.

And guess who won the women’s division???
Couldn’t have done it without you and our gang! You all were there with me in spirit! I was so grateful for every workout we did together that paid off in full! My family was proud and I felt so alive!

Big big gratitude coming your way! 🙏🏼❤️

Laurel is spending a few weeks in Maui and what she carried with her was strength, confidence, community, and trust in her body.
