Dear Valued Patients,
After 33 wonderful years of practicing optometry, the time has come for me to retire and begin a new chapter in life. This decision comes with a mix of emotions—gratitude, nostalgia, and excitement for what lies ahead.
My journey in optometry began over 50 years ago, right here in this very practice, when I received my first pair of glasses from my childhood optometrist, Dr. Nesheim. Years later, I had the incredible opportunity to purchase the practice from him and continue the legacy of care he began. It has been a privilege to serve you and to care for one of your most precious senses.
I am deeply thankful for the trust you’ve placed in me over the years. Your stories, your smiles, and your support have enriched my life in ways I could never have imagined when I first began this journey. As I prepare to step away from the exam room, I’m reminded of a quote that I’ve always tried to abide by: “Leave the party when you are having the most fun.” It’s with that spirit that I say goodbye—not because the fun has faded, but because I want to wrap up my career on a high note.
Our practice remains committed to providing the highest level of eye care, and I know you’ll be in excellent hands moving forward. I hope to see you around town!
With heartfelt appreciation,
Sherri Egashira, O.D.
