THE BODYTALK SYSTEM:
The BodyTalk System is a unique healthcare modality in that it addresses the body in a truly integrativie, holistic way. BodyTalk taps into the body's innate ability to heal itself. It allows the body's energy systems to re-synchronize, so they can operate as nature intended. BodyTalk is a simple practice in which the practitioner asked questions and listen to the clients innate wisdom by means of biofeedback. The BodyTalk Practitioner then taps head and heart, to re-establish lines of communication within the Body/Mind Complex. REFLEXOLOGY:
The science that deals with the princple that areas in the feet and hands are related to every organ,gland and part of the body. By applying pressure to these "reflex" points the reflexology practitioner works with the body's energy flow to stimulate healing and maintain balance in the physical function. Reflexology can reduce pain, increase relaxation, and improve circulation.

This was the most beautiful evening.

A Winter’s Gathering
yes .. A night of candlelight and song and movement to open our bodies and spirits.
A night of community and love

Ann Strickland, Misty Fasig and Joy Evans threaded together music, vibrational magic and flowing yoga for two hours of healing offerings.

There were time during this amazing session, that tears followed the beauty of each sound and movement.

This beautiful opportunity came about when Give To Heal, a nonprofit created to help women impacted by trauma in their healing journey, joined together with these three amazing women and create something mystical.

All procedure and donation go to
Give to Heal to offer holistic healing services to women who stand in healing and creating a fulfilling and wholehearted life.

I want to deep thank Jen Breen for opening this beautiful space at Bainbridge Yoga House.
Her kind heart and generosity allowed
A Winter’s Gathering to unfold in the quietness and safety of this place.

I founded Give to Heal about 5 years ago to offer holistic healing services to women impacted by trauma.
I was one of those women and need these services so badly but I could not afford them.
I knew on my journey to healing, I was going to offer the things I needed so desperately, but were not available.

Give to Heal is the connector

We put women and holistic practitioners together. There is no charge to each women we serve.
Having said that, we pay each practitioner for their work.

It is the best kind of win win !

If you remember back to many posts I have shared there is a theme that runs through them..
Choice
Decision
They are yours to make.

For lots of my years inside domestic abuse, my own choices and decisions scared me. It never felt safe to make them due to what the consequences might be.
I have been out of that big trauma for over 10 years, and it took me 6 of those 10 years to feel comfortable making my own decisions and choices.
It has been this past few years I not only feel comfortable make them, I realize that everything I do and say and think , is a choice. I can choose in or out of any of them.

For the hundredth time I had heard from all kinds of teachers and coaches that our choices were up to us and that meant life was up to us. I heard it but never integrated the deepness in the truth of that.

After recognizing that a lot of my thoughts and beliefs and then choices were from “small” traumas that have been settled inside of me.

Once I started to become aware and understand what power “small” traumas could have, I made the decision to work through them, and as I worked through the power of my ability to choose and decide became my shining star.
It has changed everything for me .

You are worthy of stepping into healthy choices and decisions .
Each courageous step you take to decide for you , choose for you, the Universe will be there to open another door of trust and growth and movement.

Life has been tumbling for me.
Over the last couple of weeks I literally took a tumble and ended up with a broken femur.
Surgery the next day and Rehab living since.

It crashed my world. Way to many pain meds that made me so loopy I didn’t know if it was day or night and saw floating people around me for a couple of days.

I felt like the floor had literally dropped out from under me. My summer plans felt like magic. back in Washington hanging with family and friends and watching the bright eyes of Sasha as we get ready for her wedding in Sept.

But on July 9, all plans changed.
In one small steps a different life took over.

My heart broke open and I felt like I had no ground under me. I cried and felt sorry for myself and sat in fear that has come from days gone by.

I was living in an environment where no one knew me, and yet they were helping me to the bathroom and giving me bed baths. Their kindness was a saving grace.

I am doing better both emotionally and physically. There are moments I want to turn away and cry. There are moments that I want to add another hour to Physical Therapy.
But mostly there have been learning moments of the people in my life. They have loved me in a way that has expanded my heart and my resilience. There have been days where I just wanted give up and then I remember how loved I am and I had a choice to make it through this and pass on these life lessons to others.
Resilience… when tears come up… cry them out.
When fear comes up….face it with compassion and understanding that this fear has lived inside me before and I learned to befriend it and grow stronger.
This has been a hard road and and will be a long one, and I am feeling it all and each day I remind myself that I can choose how this day goes.
And that reminder has saved me .
Each time I make a choice I gain more resilience and with each pocket of resilience I become stronger and more eager to love and live and share and be of service.

Choice can move us forward or keep us stuck.
Choice gives us the ability to breathe into our resilience
Choice gives us grace.

I am grateful for choice. The choice for me right now is to keep my eyes and heart facing the sun.

I am resilient.
I am strong.
I am courageous.
I am brave as I ask for help everyday.
I am healing
I am grateful.

Ugh… took a small tumble,that is not such a tumble and ended up in hospital for about 5 days now!
The biggest hiccup is that I have to be Non weight bearing for 6 weeks.
I have to say it could have been so much worse but I am applying all the wisdom I know to heel and slowly day by day.
I am sleeping a lot and resting alot and missing a lot

My Story

Integrated Reflexology: Integrating my skills and wisdom as a Reflexologist and a TIMBo Facilitator, opens the door way to work with clients in a sacred way. As we work through held energy in body and become aware of the connection between mind and body, space opens to begin the process of compassionately understand the healing process. That space allows clients to find quiet, balance and a pathway to new way to live life. REFLEXOLOGY: Reflexology is a holistic therapy that works with the entire body through a system of reflexes located on the feet, hands, and ears. By working these reflex points, I help to release stress or blockages held within the body. Calming the nervous system and creating a state of balance and inner connection. Reflexology can create a place of calm and space to reconnect to who you truly are. It helps to stimulate circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids, which can increase your health. Reflexology can help to reduce pain as the body works to heal itself. For some clients who are struggling with chronic stress and trauma, reflexology may be a more soothing modality than massage.

TIMBo: A trauma informed mind body program that is designed to helps us better understand held energy in our bodies. TIMBo helps us to recognize that we carry our life experiences and memories in our bodies from the time that we were in the womb. The practice of TIMBo gives us the space and opportunity to heal these experiences by connecting to our bodies and breath with compassionate understanding As we become more skilled at listening to the body we can begin to acknowledge what it is saying with compassion instead of shame. This awareness helps us put space between the sensations in our body and our reactions to those sensations. Life begins to unfold in amazing ways.
