November is National Diabetes Month! If you are diabetic, it is essential to ensure you are getting your regularly scheduled comprehensive eye exams and understand the risk factors. The comprehensive eye exam can determine risk, help in diagnosis, and can assist in prevention. Be sure to notify your eyecare professional of any signs and symptoms of abnormal vision problems, such as, blind spots, blurred vision, double vision, eye pain, and floating spots. For example, in the beginning diabetic retinopathy may not show symptoms or have very mild eye issues but can potentially lead to blindness. Prevention is the key!

June is Cataract Awareness Month!
