We’re excited to share a new initiative in our Labor & Delivery unit designed with our moms, babies, and families in mind.

Beginning now, Quiet Time hours will be observed daily from 1:30 a.m. – 3:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

These dedicated rest periods are designed to create a calm, peaceful environment that promotes:

✨ Healing and recovery for moms after delivery
✨ Stronger bonding time between parents and their newborn
✨ Improved rest for both mother and baby
✨ Support for successful breastfeeding
✨ Reduced noise and stimulation, helping babies adjust gently to the world

During Quiet Time, lights will be dimmed, hallway noise minimized, and interruptions limited to essential care only. Visitors may be asked to step out during these hours to help us protect this special time.

Welcoming a baby is one of life’s most precious moments, and we’re proud to offer an environment that supports healing, connection, and rest when it matters most.

Thank you for helping us make Quiet Time a peaceful and meaningful part of every family’s journey.

Please join us in congratulating Peggy Saenz on being named our 4th Quarter 2025 BEE Award winner!
The BEE Award — which stands for Being Excellent Every Day — celebrates the outstanding work of our non-nursing team members. Just like a DAISY cannot grow without the help of the BEE, our nurses could not do what they do for our patients without the incredible teamwork of other healthcare professionals.
Peggy received not one — but two — heartfelt nominations:
“I wanted to write to recognize Peggy from Environmental Services. She comes in every day with a positive attitude, a smile on her face, and always willing to give 110%. When Peggy is on shift, she goes above and beyond to make sure we are all working in a clean environment — and you know when you walk in that she is on shift because of the quality and dedication she puts into her job. Anytime she is asked to do something, she does it immediately, quickly, efficiently, and with a smile on her face. We could not ask for someone better to care for our Emergency Department.”
And from a second nomination:
“Mrs. Peggy is a huge asset to MHM! She is very dedicated to her job and it shows. She goes above and beyond making sure our ED is clean and smells amazing for us and our patients. I have seen her go the extra mile for patients as well — offering blankets if needed, and if she hears a patient ask for something, she checks with nurses to make sure it’s okay and offers to get it while we are busy. She is the type of employee MHM needs — if she sees something, she says or does something. She doesn’t just let it go. She is a valuable employee and should be recognized for her hard work and dedication.”
Peggy, your commitment to excellence, your watchful eye, your servant’s heart, and the pride you take in your work make a difference every single day. From keeping our Emergency Department clean to stepping in to support patients and staff alike, you truly embody what it means to be Excellent Every Day.
Thank you for being such a valuable member of our Environmental Services family and for all that you do to help Memorial Hospital and Manor shine. 💛

Please join us in congratulating Victoria Chaney on being named Memorial Hospital and Manor’s 4th Quarter 2025 Sunshine Award winner!

The Sunshine Award recognizes healthcare team members who brighten the days of their patients, families, and fellow staff at Memorial Hospital and Manor.

Victoria, who serves in our Emergency Department, was nominated by a co-worker who shared the following:

“Let me first start off by saying Victoria Chaney is hands down, bar-none one of the best employees at Memorial Hospital and Manor — no question. I first had the privilege of meeting Victoria when she was in high school and participated in the hospital apprenticeship program her senior year. I knew from the moment I met her that she was going to do some amazing things.

Fast forward a year and she is working as a tech full time in the Emergency Department, while taking her nursing school pre-reqs. For the last two years I have watched this young lady work harder than anyone I have ever seen. For the past two years I have had the absolute pleasure of working alongside her — not only calling her a co-worker, but a friend as well.

Victoria is the person that lifts everyone’s spirits when they are having a bad day — whether it be with a joke, a kind word, a smile, or just being there not only for staff to talk to but patients as well. She takes as much pride in her work, if not more, as we floor nurses do and never hesitates to jump in and lend a hand when you need it. Sometimes before you can even ask her to do something she already has it done and has started working on the next task. We in the ED would be absolutely lost without her. I am so proud to have the privilege of calling her a co-worker, and I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this award than she is.”

Victoria, thank you for the positivity, dedication, and compassion you bring to our Emergency Department each and every day. You truly brighten our hospital and embody what the Sunshine Award represents.

👏 Help us congratulate Victoria Chaney in the comments below!

Please join us in congratulating Maggie Bryan on being named Memorial Hospital and Manor’s 4th Quarter DAISY Award winner!
The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, established by The DAISY Foundation, recognizes nurses who go above and beyond to provide compassionate, exceptional care to their patients and families. Maggie exemplifies what it means to serve with heart.
Here is the nomination submitted on her behalf:

“My mother had to go to the ED by ambulance and it was rather busy at that time. Maggie was running all around trying to help everyone. She made it a point to check on us and make sure we knew she had not forgotten us as she was helping other patients ahead of us. When she came to speak to us and let my mother know what they needed to do and what would happen after that, she kept us updated on everything — all the while going back and forth dealing with other patients. She was very patient, gentle, and always had a smile. Maggie made our experience at MHM very pleasant and easy in the ED. After a long day, we are very grateful to have had such a wonderful nurse take care of our mother.”

Maggie, thank you for the compassion, dedication, and professionalism you show every day in our Emergency Department. You make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
👏 Help us congratulate Maggie Bryan in the comments below!
