We are excited to introduce you to Brodie!!

Brodie is a dedicated PTA who turned a life-changing experience into a passion for helping others. Originally from Lafayette, LA, Brodie recently made the move to Bakersfield, CA. His journey into physical therapy began after a car accident in 2012, which led him through extensive rehabilitation and ignited his desire to give back. He earned his PTA degree from Franciscan University and later a Bachelor’s in General Studies from the University of Louisiana.Now, Brodie is thrilled to embark on a new chapter with LEAP, bringing his compassionate approach and determination to support clients and their families.

When he’s not helping patients, Brodie is often hitting the pavement, training for ultra-marathons and embracing his love for fitness and health. He’s also a big advocate for inclusivity, volunteering his time to push children with disabilities in races and providing loving care for his two special needs cats.

We are excited to introduce you to Ashley, a new Speech Therapist joining LEAP!

Ashley is a Kern County native with a passion to help others in her community. She is a Speech-Language Pathologist who has worked in the public school setting since graduating with her Master’s Degree from California State University, Northridge in 2018.

Ashley finds joy in helping complex communicators find their voice and advocating for her clients and their families. She takes pride in her work as an SLP and enjoys areas such as language, functional communication, and AAC. In her practice she believes in compassion, respect, and individualism. Ashley has been a mentor for graduate students and loves sharing and teaching about her profession.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Ashley enjoys walking with her dog, completing puzzles, and traveling to new places. She’s excited for this new adventure and is looking forward to contributing to the growth of clients and their families.

We are so excited to welcome Lisa to the LEAP team! Lisa is a native of Bakersfield, CA, a proud CODA (child of Deaf Adults) and fluent in American Sign Language. Lisa graduated with her Bachelors in Integrated Education, pursued post-baccalaureate studies in Communicative Disorders and graduated with her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Lisa is passionate about supporting complex communicators and committed to developing creative, individualized strategies that foster meaningful connections and enhance communication. Lisa enjoys traveling, exploring new hobbies, and adventures with her fiancé. Welcome Lisa, we cannot wait to witness the impact you will make on LEAP kiddos and families.

Meet Jackie, a compassionate professional with extensive knowledge in communicative disorders and psychology. Jackie is a proud Edmonton, Alberta native, born and raised in Canada.

Jackie graduated from California Polytechnic State University in 2012, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Social Psychology. She then pursued further education at California State University, Northridge, where she completed a post-baccalaureate degree in Communicative Disorders in 2018 and recently graduated in May 2023, earning a Master of Science in Communicative Disorders.

Jackie finds joy in spending time with her husband and 4 children, embracing an active lifestyle with activities like beach days and bike rides.

Jackie is eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those she encounters!

Meet our Occupational Therapist, Pam!

She has been practicing pediatric OT for over 20 years! Her career began working with children in the brain and spinal cord injury unit in Texas, which then led her to open her own multidisciplinary practice in Oklahoma. Pam specializes in treating children with cerebral palsy, autism, sensory processing difficulties and a range of developmental diagnoses.

She is eager to meet all of our amazing kiddos and help them reach their highest potential! We are excited to welcome Pam to our LEAP team!
