High-Volume Medical Practice is looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our employees and supervisors, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities. Administrative Assistant responsibilities include:

Arranging meetings, preparing reports, maintaining appropriate filing systems, general employee management, and more.

The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment.

If you have previous experience as a Secretary or Executive administrative assistant and familiarity within our industry, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, a successful Admin Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office. Tasks may also include but not limited to...

-Maintain office policies and procedures

-Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers

-Maintain contact lists

-Answering phones, taking detailed notes/dictation

-Scheduling and assisting patients

-Insurance verification

-Provide general support to visitors

-Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients

-Respect patient confidentiality & respect at all times.

Requirements
-Office/clerical experience (minimum 2 years)
-Medical office experience is preferred
-Must have knowledge of medical terminology, PPO/HMO insurances.
-Must have EHR/EMR experience.
-Basic HR knowledge is a huge plus
-Quickbooks and/or billing knowledge helpful
-High School Diploma or Equivalent
-Reliable Transportation
-A 100% proactive mindset

The New Year's Eve Ball first dropped in 1907! 🙌

While the tradition of a Times Square New Year’s Eve celebration dates back to 1904, the ball was not dropped at this event until 1907, according to Times Square's website. The first Ball weighed 700 pounds and had a diameter of 5 feet. It was constructed out of wood and iron, and had one hundred light bulbs on it 💡💡💡

Roast turkey or another type of poultry 🐔 is the main protein in a typical Christmas dinner today, but back in medieval times the preferred poultry was actually peacock! Boar was also a Christmas mainstay. It wasn’t until Henry VIII had turkey for Christmas in the sixteenth century that it became the norm 😋

This just in- consuming 100 calories' worth of cupcakes, soda, or French fries is not the same as eating 100 calories of vegetables or brown rice!! 😮

Stop getting caught up in the number of calories and instead focus on where you are getting them from. 🤔 If you're mindful and consume the vitamins and minerals your body needs, you’ll be able to drop pounds without becoming obsessive about calorie counting. ✊

CVMG Facts: Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)!

Myth: "ADD IS OVER DIAGNOSED. EVERY CHILD WHO ACTS UP A BIT, OR ADULT WHO IS LAZY, GETS PLACED ON RITALIN OR ADDERALL.” 😏

FACT: Less than ½ of those with ADD are being treated. Many people with ADD are never hyperactive. The non-hyperactive or “inattentive” ADD folks are often ignored because they do not bring enough negative attention to themselves 😣 Many of these children, teenagers, and adults earn the unjust labels “willful”, “lazy”, “unmotivated”, or “not that smart.”
