The Spine and Orthopedic Center We believe that patients benefit from a conservative (non-surgical), multi-disciplinary approach to treatment.

Our focus is on addressing total patient care by guiding our patients through the process of diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and re-injury prevention. Treatment options include pain management, spinal injections, physiotherapy and exercise rehabilitation, and, if necessary, minimally invasive surgeries such as outpatient microdiskectomy, spinal fusion, and arthroscopic surgery. In combination, this broad-based variety of modalities helps to ensure our patients receive a comprehensive approach to recovery.

I have been seeing Spine & Orthopedic Center since 2013. Don’t let the negative comments fool you. Those are idiots! The staff here are extremely friendly and professional. They don’t see work comp patients anymore in the Bakersfield office, which sucks! STATE FUND IS A COMPLETE JOKE! I decided instead of switching Doctors, I will just drive over to the Santa Maria Office or Santa Barbara Office for my continued treatments. I appreciate everything Dr Moelleken, Dr. Dirkx, PA’s, and all office staff! Dr Moelleken completed a 2 Level Fusion Surgery on me and from start to finish, it was the best decision I have ever made. Dr Moelleken kept me so well informed about each step involved. If you are looking for a great orthopedic surgeon, please try this place out! It can get pretty busy, but the wait is worth it!
