Thomas Nelson, DPM is a board certified podiatrist who specializes in diabetic foot care and podiatric surgery. He received his doctorate degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his preceptorship with Robert Garner, DPM. Dr. Nelson has been in private practice for more than 30 years serving the Bakersfield area.

Byron Mui MD, MPH is board certified in Internal Medicine and subspecialized in Infectious Disease. He received his resident training at USC General Hospital and Infectious Disease fellowship at VA Wadsworth UCLA. Dr. Mui has been practicing both disciplines in Bakersfield for over 30 years.

Centennial Medical Group is now an approved COVID-19 vaccine provider with the California Department of Public Health! We received our first vaccine shipment this week. We received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. One and done.

We have some great news to share with everyone. For several years, Dr. Yokoyama has been waiting for a kidney transplant and the day has finally come! To share the news, Dr. Y has made a video to update his patient community on his recovery.

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has created a serious disruption to all of our lives. Many patients are worried about leaving their home to travel to our clinic for a needed appointment.

In order to support our patients during this turbulent time, CMG is now scheduling appointments over live-video. If you are a patient that needs to be seen by one of our providers, but is concerned about leaving home, we can now schedule and treat you over a secure, HIPAA-compliant connection over Zoom.

CMG is pleased to welcome two new physicians to our medical group.

Mark Rivera, MD is board certified in Family Practice and has started seeing patients as of today, August 1st. Dr. Rivera will serve as a primary care physician to our adult and pediatric patients in English, Spanish, and Tagalog. He has been providing medical services to the Bakersfield community with Clinica Sierra Vista for the past three years.

Hootan Daneshmand, MD is a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic plastic surgery and breast reconstruction, including breast augmentation surgery. He has been in private practice for more than 20 years serving the Orange County and Kern County areas. Throughout his career, Dr. Daneshmand has been committed to traveling to poverty-stricken countries in order to perform surgical operations for the treatment of congenital defects in children.
