Dr. John Zimmerman began practice in Bakersfield, Ca in 1985 and in 1998 began conducting clinical research. In 2003 Dr. Zimmerman founded Trovare Clinical Research LLC, a multi-specialty, independent research site. Having conducted a wide variety of successful trials, Dr. Zimmerman's primary interest is in post surgical analgesic trials based on the Bunionectomy model. Our site began utilizing this model in 2003 and to date has successfully enrolled hundreds of patients in multiple pain trials. In 2015 Trovare Clinical Research expanded it's facilities to include a new 3000sq ft suite dedicated solely to exceptional post operative care and analgesic studies. This site features seven private rooms to maintain accurate and reliable data capture. Directly adjacent to the suite is a 13, 000 sq ft outpatient surgery center allowing convenient transfer of post operative patients. The surgery center is Medicare Certified, State Licensed, and AAAHC accredited providing a facility of excellence and safety for our surgical patients. Both Trovare Clinical Research and Millennium Surgery Center reside on the 28 acre campus of Dignity Health's Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, a very well respected facility in The Central Valley. Trovare Clinical Research utilizes a central IRB and contracts directly through Lotus Clinical Research.
