Congratulations to Dr. Harper for winning EMS leader of the year at the Texas EMS conference 2024.

Dr. Harper is a deputy medical Director for San Antonio Fire, the Medical Director for several surrounding agencies and is a graduate of our EMS fellowship (Dept of Defense) based out of San Antonio.

This is a great honor and we are certainly proud of his accomplishments

If you are only using Naloxone for opioid toxicity, you may be missing some opportunity for a low cost and highly efficacious treatment for other causes of shock!

San Antonio has the first and only known metropolitan EMS system to carry blood in the U.S. Eight city EMS vehicles carry whole blood that can be transfused into people who might otherwise bleed to death before they get to the hospital.
