Awe softens us into awareness. Once we begin to notice more, appreciation naturally follows. It’s the gentle recognition of meaning in everyday things, the warmth of a room, a familiar voice, a moment of stillness.
This week, we explore how awe blossoms into appreciation and how those small acknowledgments shift our inner landscape.
What is something small you’ve been appreciating lately? Share it with us.

Perfect for beginners or anyone returning to their practice. Learn foundations, build confidence, and start the year feeling supported and connected.
There’s a special kind of magic that happens when we slow down.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:30, Ananda guides SloMo Yoga, an hour designed to bring you back into harmony with yourself.
In this practice, we linger.
We take our time to truly enter and align in classic asanas, letting the body settle into a peaceful co-existence with the breath. As the world asks more and more of us, SloMo offers the opposite: space, steadiness, and the reminder that moving slowly is still moving forward.
One hour of intentional slowing down.
One hour to reconnect your inner and outer self.
You’ll leave feeling renewed, centered, and empowered.
Join us on the mat.

Week two of our five week series of the Map that Leads to Joy.
When we practice being present, something subtle begins to shift. We start noticing the extraordinary in the ordinary. Awe doesn’t need to be dramatic; it lives in small, quiet details we often overlook.
Being present opens the door for awe, and awe opens the door for deeper connection to our lives.
What tiny moment of awe surprised you this week? Tell us below.

The feasting, the family, the fun… Thanksgiving is beautiful, but let’s be honest, our bodies might be feeling a little overwhelmed today. If you’re waking up sluggish, bloated, or just slightly off-kilter, you’re not alone. Here are a few gentle ways to support your system and ease back into balance:
1. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Warm water is your best friend right now. It helps flush out toxins, supports digestion, and rehydrates your system. Add a squeeze of lemon for a little extra detox support. Try giving caffeine and sugary, creamy drinks a break today.
2. Embrace Light, Nutrient-Dense Foods
Give your digestive system a breather. Stick to whole foods that are light and cooked—think simple meals and nourishing soups. A fresh juice can work wonders for digestion, too.
Try our Fall Green or Daily Green with a scoop of Vitality powder, or sip on a Fall Glow with Curam elixir for an immunity boost!
3. Move Your Body
No need to jump into an intense workout. A brisk walk, gentle yoga, or a little stretching can help stimulate digestion, improve circulation, and boost your mood.
4. Make More Moments for Om
Find space and stillness. Give your senses a break. Unplug. Breathe. Meditate. Even a few quiet minutes can bring you back to center.

Om Grown Yoga Collective is a collaboration of local yoga teachers who want to bring breath, movement and mindfulness to our community!
Om Grown Yoga Collective’s goal is to make yoga accessible and affordable for everyone, regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, beliefs, abilities or income levels. We want to change the world for the better and we want to begin in our own community. We have a suggested contribution or fee schedule which reflects our costs of doing business and offering fair compensation to our amazing teachers. However, we want you to practice yoga. If these suggestions do not match your financial situation, please contact Sandy or Lora to find a solution. We mean it. Call us. Talk to us. For reals :)
Currently our classes are offered in lovely historic downtown Baldwin City, Kansas at 707 8th Street. Come down and stay awhile. Explore and enjoy the pace of our special town.
We try to offer a variety of yoga styles and movement through different teachers. We want to meet you where you are and find what moves you. Jai Radhika’s story is coming soon.
Tina Gallaher was first introduced to yoga at a young age growing up in Eudora, KS, when her mother borrowed a VHS tape from a coworker for her to try it. Not wanting to practice alone, it was quickly dropped. It wasn’t again until grad school at KU that she returned to yoga, and loved the relief she felt from her stress and anxiety. She is now a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance and has been teaching since earning her 200-hour yoga teacher training in August 2016 through Gopi Sandal’s Yoga with Heart (based on the Bhakti Yoga tradition) in Lawrence, KS. Tina earned her Buti Yoga certification in January 2017 under the direction of Talen Lane. Tina is grateful to be part of OMGYC, and wants to use her knowledge and skills to help those with depression, anxiety, and connect to youth, people with individual needs, and those just finding their way.
