💖 February is American Heart Month 💞 a time to focus on heart health and the people we love.

At Adoray, we’re committed to supporting individuals and families living with cardiovascular conditions. In 2025, 25% of all patients served by Adoray had a primary diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, and 22% of our Hospice patients were living with heart or circulatory conditions. Behind each of those numbers is a person, a family, and a story, one that our Adoray team is here to step into with compassion, skill, and heart.

Discover how our 5-star rated Circle of Care can provide compassionate, personalized Home Health, Palliative Care, and Hospice support for you or your loved one's unique heart needs.

We’re also proud to offer our Advanced Cardiac Care Handbook, a free resource packed with guidance, education, and tips to help manage heart disease at home. Download your copy today at https://adoray.org/news/137/heart-month- or pick up a hard copy at our Baldwin office.

🦸‍♂️💜 Last week, something truly SUPER happened… 💜🦸‍♂️

Because of you, an incredible 11-year-old boy experienced a birthday filled with joy, love, and superhero magic. Super Noah’s 11th Birthday was nothing short of heroic, and it took a Super Hero Team to pull this off. Together, we created an 11th birthday that Super Noah and his family will remember forever.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to everyone who dropped off cards, mailed gifts, and supported this moment. You didn’t just celebrate a boy's birthday, you brought light, joy, and love to a child and family who needed it most.

With help from "Super Girl" and a Super Duty diesel truck from Lupient Ford of Baldwin packed with community love, this wasn’t just a party, it was a hero’s celebration. Just when Noah thought the day couldn’t get any better… Spider-Man himself swung in.... With spider-throwing magic, balloon creations featuring Spider-Man, Pokémon, and even a balloon twin of Noah’s beloved dog (a.k.a. Wonder Woman), the room filled with laughter and smiles.

Thank you for helping bring this dream to life, a day where Noah felt powerful and celebrated, and his mom could simply be mom.

Moments like this are exactly why our Dream Big program exists, to create joy and unforgettable memories, bringing life to the end-of-life journey.

You proved once again that capes aren’t required to be a hero in our community, love is the greatest superpower of all.

Q&A with Adoray
💜 Q: When is the right time to call hospice?
✅ A: Research shows that hospice care is most effective when started early, providing the greatest benefit to both patients and their families. Many families tell us they wish they had called Adoray Hospice sooner. Patients who begin hospice care earlier have more opportunities to receive expert pain and symptom management, while their loved ones gain vital emotional, spiritual, and practical support.

For 30+ years, Adoray has provided guidance and compassionate care for those in our community facing serious illness and end of life. To learn more about how our services can support you or a loved one, please contact us at 715-629-1888 or visit www.adoray.org/hospice

For 30+ years, our purpose at Adoray has been more than just words — it's a way of life: "Compassion in Action, Integrity in Care."

We are honored to recognize Katie Panek as our December Employee of the Month and celebrate the extraordinary care and dedication she brings to our team. During a recent scheduled visit, Katie arrived slightly early to a patient’s home and discovered an active structure fire that was still contained to the garage. Without hesitation, she acted quickly and selflessly to help the patient safely exit the home. Her calm presence, quick thinking, and unwavering focus on the patient’s safety exemplify the very heart of compassionate care. Thanks to Katie’s actions, both she and the patient were physically unharmed. In a moment of fear and uncertainty, especially during the Christmas season, Katie became a true Christmas angel to this family. Her presence brought safety, reassurance, and hope when it was needed most. Katie’s response went far beyond her job description. It reflected courage, integrity, and a deep commitment to putting patients first. This moment is a powerful reminder of the trust families place in Adoray and the incredible people who represent our mission every day. Katie truly put compassion into action, and we are deeply grateful to have her on Team Adoray.

Thank you, Katie, for the heart, integrity, and excellence you bring to Adoray. We are so proud to celebrate you!

Q&A with Adoray
💜 Q: Who can make a hospice referral?
✅ A: Anyone can. A hospice referral can be made by a physician, nurse, social worker, caregiver, family member—or even the patient themselves. Many people are surprised to learn they don’t need to wait for a doctor to bring it up.

Early referrals allow individuals and families to receive comfort-focused care, guidance, and support sooner—often greatly improving quality of life.

For 30+ years, Adoray has been honored to walk alongside our community during serious illness and end-of-life, offering compassionate care and trusted guidance every step of the way. To make a referral or learn more about hospice services, call 715-629-1888 or visit www.adoray.org/hospice

Thank you for your support in 2018

In 1995, a group of 4 healthcare providers gathered to help people with life-threatening illnesses die with dignity in Western Wisconsin by creating St. Croix Valley Shared Services (aka Adoray). Today, Adoray Home Health & Hospice is a nonprofit, community-based organization whose mission is “partnering to improve the quality of life throughout serious illness wherever you call home” by alleviating pain and suffering and enhancing the quality of life of patients and their families. Adoray is committed to providing everyone in our 6-county service area of Western Wisconsin with quality compassionate care and support, regardless of their ability to pay. Each year, we provide approximately $200,000 in non-reimbursed nursing care, family support, counseling, supplies, equipment, medication, and bereavement services. Many programs and services are funded by the generosity of grateful families, caring community members and businesses who believe in the hope and support we offer to patients and families facing life’s most difficult journey. Your donations to Adoray Home Health & Hospice allow us to make our programs and services available to everyone in the communities we serve, and your contributions are always tax-deductible. In 2018, Adoray’s exceptional interdisciplinary staff cared for 492 hospice patients and their families. Our specialized Bereavement Team provided guidance and support for over 1,000 bereaved family members as well as those individuals in our community suffering from the death of a loved one. Our organization remained fiscally strong with generous community support from funds raised through general and in memory donations, and event sponsorships. In total generating $42,500 to help offset the cost of the non-reimbursed programs and services. At Adoray Home Health & Hospice, we consider it an honor to provide a lifetime of care and comfort to our patients and their families, and we thank you for the privilege. It is your meaningful support that makes it possible for our patients and their families to receive the comfort of care wherever they call home and support during life’s most difficult transition.
