The holidays can stir up deep emotions after a loss. If you or someone you love is grieving this Thanksgiving, we know how difficult it can be during a time meant for togetherness. We hope you’re able to find small moments of comfort and peace.
And if you know someone who’s missing a loved one this Thanksgiving, take a moment to reach out. A simple call, visit, or kind message can mean more than you know. Sometimes the smallest gestures remind us that we’re not alone.

October has been a busy and rewarding month for our funeral homes as we’ve had the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful people in our community.
Everett was invited to speak with the congregation at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Demorest to share a professional look at funeral service and answer questions about burial, cremation, planning ahead and everything in between. We also had the chance to present to Hospice of Northeast Georgia about the care and guidance funeral homes provide to families following the hospice journey. And we spoke at a lunch and learn focused on the benefits of prearranging.
We’re always working to educate, serve, and support our community. If you would like for us to come speak with your church, group, or organization, we would be honored to do so, just give us a call.

Family Serving Family Since 1971!
This special photo captures John Whitfield receiving his Funeral Director and Embalming Licenses, signed by his father, J. Larry Whitfield, who was serving on the Georgia State Board of Funeral Service at the time.
Larry and Evie’s son, John, has been part of the funeral home family since 1994 and became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 1996. He continues to serve full time at the funeral home as our advanced planner.
The Whitfield family has proudly served this community for more than 50 years. Both Larry and John remain active in serving our community, continuing a legacy built on care, compassion, and family.
