Day 8 - 21 Day Sugar Detox - Who wants coffee this morning?! I used to always say yes - but did you know that coffee raises your blood sugar? Yep - we need it like we need a donut when we hit that 3pm slump. That is one of the reasons people reach for coffee rather than breakfast in the AM. The stimulation of the caffeine and the blood sugar sugar spike make you think it's waking you up.... until you come crashing down, that is. Opt for a protein rich breakfast of eggs cooked in butter or coconut oil, spinach, mushrooms and a big glass of lemon water to sustain you until lunch!

Days 4 thru 7 - 21 Day Sugar detox - It is amazing how good you feel when your body isn't dealing with an onslaught of sugar every day - my liver, pancreas, and adrenals are getting a nice little rest. And...the sugar cravings are gone! Yay!

Day 2 and 3 of the 21 day sugar detox: It's all about water right now! Did you know that even beig a little dehydrated can cause anxiety, depression and cravings AND it will slow your metabolism! Yep. Focus on half your body weight in ounces per day. I can't believe the difference in my mood, my skin,and my energt levels... Just add water!

Sprouting quinoa today. It starts with a 6 hour soak and then just little rinsing and in a couple of days you have something that is higher in vitamins and nutrients, easier to digest, and no phytic acid... The thing in seeds, grains and nuts that makes it difficult for your body to absorb certain nutrients. Sprouting is crazy easy... Garbanzo beans are next!!!

90 Days to Amazing... Tip 5: OK...I know this is what you hear all of the time... but ditch the processed food! Did you know that cardiovascular disease is a processed food disease? Yep, and so are many others. These "franken-foods" are ruining are bodies beautiful, divine ability to keep everything in check. It is truly one of the most beneficial things you can do for your health, really! So clean out those cupboards and start fresh. Think whole food. Before you purchase something at the grocery store think "How much of a process did this need to go through to make it onto this grocery store shelf? Another good rule of thumb... if it has anything in it that you can't pronounce or more than five ingredients... forget about it! Organic meat, and beautiful veggies. And snacks? Try coconut oil popped popcorn slathered in real grass fed butter and sprinkled with sea salt...there is nothing better. And for an extra little treat kick... sprinkle on a little cinnamon and coconut sugar... it's "are-you-kidding-me" delicious.
