At Upstate, career growth is more than encouraged, it’s celebrated!

Meet Dr. James Mangano and Dr. Matthew Sarsfield. Neither began their journey here as physicians! Dr. Mangano was a PA, and Dr. Sarsfield started as an ED nurse before pursuing medical school right here at Upstate.

Today, Dr. Sarsfield works alongside the same ED nurses he once stood beside, bringing unique insight and respect for the nursing perspective in patient care.

Their journeys are proof that at Upstate, your career path can evolve in inspiring ways. 💙

Thanks to Upstate Nursing SMA Sophia for sharing!

🌟 Honoring Our Dedicated GBAC Members! 🌟

Last night, the Greater Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps came together for an informal gathering to celebrate our incredible team and recognize those who have dedicated many years of service to our community. 💚🚑

We were proud to honor Anne-Marie Howell, who celebrates an amazing 50 years in EMS! Anne-Marie received a special award from GBAC and a proclamation from Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon, presented by Director of Emergency Management Jeff VanBeveren. 👏

We also recognized 43 year member David Weller, past Director of Operations and current Board Member, for his many years of service. David was presented with a commemorative watch as he prepares to step down from the Board this year.

Just a little something to say thanks 🙌

Our team works hard every single day, so we wanted to show some love. This year, we hooked everyone up with a catered suite at the Syracuse Mets game — food, fun, and a great night out with family and coworkers ⚾🌭🎉

Big shoutout to the GBAC crew — you’re the best. We appreciate everything you do 💙

Hope to see you Saturday! 🚑 🚑 🚑

After doing the Heimlich, they had to do CPR for four or five minutes until the woman started to respond.
