March 1 update - we have had alot of appointments and visits to the clinic over the last couple weeks. Jack has not been feeling well.

On Friday, he had his braces removed and he had a second blood transfusion. We had hoped that would perk him up over the weekend, but while he did say his stomach felt less nauseous, he still spend the last couple days in bed. He has no energy and just wants to sleep.

He has some important follow up appointments over the next couple weeks. Tuesday, he meets with the Upstate Orthopedic Spine Team, happily he will walk into this appointment on his own. Dr. Tallarico has not seen him since his first hospital stays, so Jack is excited to show him that he is walking on his own now.

Wednesday, he starts Cycle 5 of treatment and on March 9, he has his repeat MRI, this will tell the team if surgery or radiation is the best next step.

Please pray for our boy, our family and all of the Healthcare providers who are working on Jack's case.

February 14: last week Jack felt lousy. On Thursday he woke up with a fever, so we headed to the clinic and he was admitted. He was neutropenic and needed some blood. He received 2 units and got some color back. We were released this morning. Just in time to wash some clothes and head back for our scheduled 5-day inpatient treatment.

Thank you to all of the caregivers at the Upstate Cancer Clinic and at Golisano on 11G. You are the best of the best!

February 11: Yesterday Jack didnt have a great day. He felt lousy, lightheaded, heart pounding. We took an unexpected trip to the clinic. They thought he needed a transfusion, but his numbers were "too high". But amid all of those symptoms, he also felt strong and brave enough to do this trip with only his walker. It was the first time since December 31 he left the house without a wheelchair!

His spirit, his attitude and his drive make us so proud of him! Keep kicking cancers butt, Jack and we will be there supporting you however you need and cheering you on every step of the way!!!

Hunter and his family are wonderful people who are becoming fast friends. Jack and Hunter were diagnosed at the same time with Ewings and we would love for the same love and prayers be sent to Hunter, his mom, dad, little sister and amazing grandparents and family.

Beautiful article about Jack.

The freshman is recovering from Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare, aggressive cancer that develops in the bone or soft tissues.

February 6 Update:

Jack completed his 3rd (of 16) cycle of treatment yesterday. He is still feeling okay, although Day 2 of each cycle seems to be a down-day.

He is continuing to get stronger and even spent some time at the Wrestling Club this week visiting his friends.

He wants to say Good Luck to everyone wrestling at Section III, Class AA Championships tomorrow at Fowler.

A little back story about JACK'S DIAGNOSIS AND INITIAL UPDATES

BEE STRONG for Jack! 🐝💪❤️
Jill and Todd Webb have always been at the heart of the Baldwinsville Wrestling Community. Todd serves as the Assistant Varsity Coach, and Jill is the Booster Club President, dedicating countless hours to supporting the team and its families. Their son, Jack, is a freshman in high school and a starting 138-pound wrestler on the Varsity team at Baldwinsville Central School District.
The Webb family is also very active in the Hockey community with the Upstate Badgers Hockey Club. They have given so much of their time, energy, and love to help others succeed, both on and off the mat and on and off the ice.
Recently, the Webb family received troubling news: doctors found a tumor on Jack's spine. Jack is beginning chemotherapy this week, and the road ahead will be challenging for the entire family. As they focus on Jack’s treatment and recovery, they are facing mounting medical bills and the added stress of day-to-day living expenses.
Now, it’s our turn to support the Webbs as they have supported so many of us.
While the wrestling and hockey communities are united in prayer and hope, we need this message to reach further—beyond our circle. We are asking for support to spread far and wide to help ease the financial burden so Jill, Todd, and Jack can focus on his health, treatments and recovery.

Let’s rally around this incredible family in their time of need. We are with you, Jack! 🤼‍♂️🏒
