When one family member becomes a doula, the entire household learns to care differently.

Happy 40th Birthday to me!

So crazy to think I’ve been around for 40 yrs! Nonetheless, I’m truly grateful for the years behind me and excited for the ones ahead.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the years, however that may be. You have not only helped to shape who I am, but who I still am becoming! I’m grateful for all of you.

I’m not sure I have the right words to fully capture the experience of being among so many wonderful people in this community. Ranging from those that have laid the foundation to others, like me, who are new, all working towards better outcomes in Black perinatal health and reproductive justice. Last year was amazing, and I’m looking forward to reconnecting with last year’s attendees as well as meeting new faces this year!
