When people see you as a strong woman, they assume you need nothing and no one. They believe you can carry every burden, endure every storm, and rise above whatever comes your way. They forget that even strength longs to be heard, cared for, and gently held.
When they see you as strong, they come to you to help carry their crosses. They speak, unload, and lean on youânever pausing to ask if you, too, need someone to listen.
A strong woman is rarely asked if she is tired, hurting, or close to breaking. No one asks about her fears or anxieties. What matters is that she is always thereâlike a lighthouse in the fog, like a rock in a restless sea.
She is forgiven nothing. If she falters, she is labeled weak. If she shows anger, she is called hysterical.
When the strong woman steps away for even a moment, her absence is felt. Yet when she stands steady and present, her strength is taken for granted.
The daily effort it takes to be that womanâthe courage, the restraint, the silent enduranceâoften goes unseen.
So honor, recognize, respect, and thank the strong women in your life. They, too, need tenderness. They, too, deserve love. And they, too, need to know they can rest safely in someone elseâs strength.
