On this Spring Equinox, when day and night stand in perfect balance, we are reminded of the harmony that exists within the cycles of nature and within ourselves.

For millennia, mystics have observed this sacred turning of the seasons as a moment of renewal. Just as Earth awakens from winter’s quiet rest, so too are we invited to awaken the seeds of possibility within our own consciousness.

This is a time to pause, breathe deeply, and reflect on what we wish to cultivate in the months ahead—greater compassion, deeper understanding, renewed purpose, or a closer attunement with the Divine Presence that lives within all things.

Take a few moments today to step into the light of this new season. In quiet reflection or meditation, allow yourself to feel the subtle rhythm of life moving through you, just as it moves through the awakening Earth.

🎵 Focused Music Imagery: Music Meets Reflection

Join us for a creative and reflective experience exploring the powerful connection between music, imagination, and inner wisdom.

Focused Music Imagery combines guided music listening with visual arts and reflective writing. Participants will be invited to listen deeply, explore imagery that arises, and express their experience through drawing, writing, and group reflection in a supportive setting.

Tonight at Ruscombe! Coming together in community is a great way to warm the heart as winter continues to bring snow and chill us to the bone. Please join Ari in practicing the art and science of mindfulness meditation.

Ari Pluznik walks alongside his students as a spiritual friend on the path of mindfulness and creative expression. Grounded in Buddhist lineage and trained by respected teachers, he offers meditation guidance in the Insight tradition that helps practitioners navigate life's challenges with wisdom and compassion. Through his music with Ari and the Buffalo Kings, he creates contemplative and joyful spaces where audiences can experience deep emotional connection and open-hearted creativity. Whether leading a meditation session or performing intimate concerts, Ari brings together traditional wisdom and artistic expression to foster genuine human connection and transformation. Ari is a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher (CMT-P) through the International Meditation Teachers Association and is currently undergoing Dharma Teacher Training through the Asheville Insight Meditation Center.

AUM (Awaken Understanding of the Metaphysical) is a new open discussion group at Ruscombe, dedicated to exploring metaphysical concepts through shared inquiry, reflection, and dialogue.

This gathering offers a safe, supportive space to express ideas, deepen awareness, and learn collectively. All who are curious and open-minded are welcome — no prior experience required.

As the year draws to a close, Ruscombe Community extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported, participated in, and believed in this space over the past year. Your presence, generosity, and care are what allow this community to continue growing.

We recently gathered for a Winter Solstice potluck—sharing food, candlelight, and conversation as we marked the longest night of the year. The candles in this photo reflect a moment of collective pause: a time to honor rest, reflection, and the quiet turning toward longer days and renewed light.

This simple evening of community-building reminded us why Ruscombe exists—to offer a place where people can slow down, connect meaningfully, and carry intention forward into the seasons ahead.

MZM Hoilday Pop-Up @ Ruscombe Community Healthcare Center, FREE entry !!

Mt Zion Marketplace (MZM) is hosting their first pop-up cafe day, featuring Onyx Marketplace Collective vendors. Join us 12/22 Monday from 3 - 9 pm for chill, respite time before the Holiday rush. Curated plates by the MZM chefs, art/maker market, music, communion !!
There will also be family fun day with crafts, cookie decorating, stuffing stuffers for last minute shopping, and time to connect with neighbors during the season of connection 🤭🫶🏼

Winter is here, time to break out the warm sweaters and socks! Before you get too cozy, join Chef Zion in the Ruscombe Community Co-op cafe on December 13th for our Winter Solstice celebration. From 12- 4pm, we'll have free cookie decorating, crafts, local, handmade art, and music.

The Mt Zion Marketplace chefs will have hot chocolate, warm cider, and delicious treats for purchase. Join our chefs for a delicious day of celebration of Winter before we get into the thick of the holiday season.
