Clients: “You always seem so calm and put together.”
Therapists in real life: trying to remember if we drank water, ate lunch, or processed our own week 😂😂

The truth is, therapists hold a lot.
And while we’re trained to support others, we also need spaces to release, laugh, move, and just be human.

That’s exactly what Therapist Unplugged is for 💚

Come clock out for real and meet us on the dance floor💃🏽

May 30th at 1pm we are hosting a line dancing experience. 🔗 in bio

Before Women’s History Month and Social Work Month come to a close, but the service and commitment is everlasting, we want to highlight our Founder & CEO on her most recent recognition‼️🎉

We want to thank for creating the space for social workers to be seen and recognized.
We want to thank everyone that took the time to vote!

Message from Tunisia: Receiving the Business Boss recognition means a lot to me. This journey has required so much faith, resilience, sacrifice, and consistency behind the scenes. As a therapist, mother, and business owner, I’ve poured my heart into creating spaces where girls an women can feel seen, supported, and empowered in their healing. So to be recognized for something that was built with both purpose and passion is incredibly meaningful, and I’m truly honored. ✨

You do not have to be good at line dancing to come 😌

This is not about perfection.
This is not about performance.
This is not about getting every step right.

This is about letting go.
This is about movement, laughter, and release.
This is about giving yourself permission to just be.

So if you’ve been thinking,
“what if I don’t know how to dance?”
…you’re exactly who this is for 💚

Come unplug with us.

Today’s Social Work Spotlight is on our Graduate Intern, Jessica Smith:

“I’m so glad I ended up in the Social Work field! I didn’t look for it; it found me. As I’ve been taking various classes in my MSW program at Howard University, I’ve learned how much the field of social work aligns with my faith as a Christian. We focus on the dignity and worth of every person we come into contact with. We meet clients where they’re at, not where we think they should be.

I also like the flexibility of the field. I can go into macro social work practice; mezzo practice, like I’m already doing with my nonprofit, The Mental Health Emergency Fund; or micro practice, like I’m doing at my internship at The BUISE Foundation.

All in all, it’s a profession that helps people, and that’s what I’ve been doing my whole career in the nonprofit sector.”
