Leadership in Action đź’™
Yesterday, from 3 PM to 11 PM — after already working a full day — our CEO, Dr. Tanika Walker, chose to spend her Friday evening at our residential site with our residents.
She didn’t just stop by.
She came with food in hand and a heart ready to serve. Together, they cooked a full meal — fish, broccoli, macaroni and cheese, fresh bread, and apple pie. There was laughter, conversation, and meaningful connection around the table.
Dr. Walker understands something powerful: recovery is not only about teaching clients how to abstain. It’s about preparing them for life. It’s about building daily living skills. It’s about modeling stability, consistency, and care. It’s about showing residents what healthy leadership, community, and support truly look like.
Spending an evening cooking, talking, and simply being present may seem like a small act — but moments like these help shape confidence, independence, and successful transitions back into the community.
Dr. Walker, thank you for demonstrating that leadership is not just a title — it’s action. It’s presence. It’s commitment. It’s heart.
We appreciate your dedication to our residents and to the vision of what true recovery looks like.
