January is . Radon is a radioactive, odorless, colorless, and cancer-causing gas that can be found in homes. The only way radon can be detected is by using a radon testing kit.

The American Lung Association’s website offers more information about radon gas, as well as links to purchase radon testing kits. https://www.lung.org/clean-air/indoor-air/indoor-air-pollutants/radon/radon-action-month

The Maryland Department of Health also offers resources for free or reduced radon testing kits on their website
