Today is JHU’s MLK Day of Service, an annual opportunity for Hopkins students and employees to honor Martin Luther King’s legacy by giving back to the community. From January 20th-31st, Hopkins students and employees partner with local organizations to give back through hands-on volunteer opportunities.

January is . Radon is a radioactive, odorless, colorless, and cancer-causing gas that can be found in homes. The only way radon can be detected is by using a radon testing kit.

The United Nations General Assembly has been encouraging countries to move toward universal healthcare coverage so that everyone, everywhere can have access to affordable health care.

Today is International Day of Persons With Disabilities (IDPD). The theme for this year's observance is “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress”. There will be an IDPD commemoration held virtually at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
