Bmore Empowered is a non-profit dedicated to empowering women and girls of color through mindfulness and entrepreneurship.

The mission of Bmore Empowered is to provide girls and women of color with tools of empowerment. We envision a world where black and brown girls and women are empowered, self-sufficient, mindful and supportive of each other. Bmore Empowered coalesced when we saw a lack of impactful programming for black and brown girls in Baltimore City. Our programming focuses on empowerment workshops, trainings, yoga therapy and a Summer Camp to support black and brown women and girls in Baltimore City. Our offerings are based on our four core principles of Sisterhood, Self-Esteem, Mindfulness and Entrepreneurship.

After nearly a decade of serving Black women and girls in Baltimore, as an organization is coming to a close.

This is not a pause. It is the end of a beautiful chapter.

Our silence has been reflection, grief, and careful tending behind the scenes.

The AFRO recently shared a candid article featuring our founders, offering deeper context about this season.

We invite you to read it and stay connected as the work continues in new forms.

This responsibility was never ours alone.

Our Q4 pause is not about stopping... 💛
It’s a gentle slowing of momentum.

We’re celebrating softness, checking in with ourselves before checking out, making space for silence, and gathering our people in ways that feel nourishing and real.

This is what mindfulness looks like in motion.

We are committed to tending to ourselves so we can continue tending to our community. ✨

“Black girls deserve to be whole!” ✊🏾💐

This truth lies at the heart of our Whole Black Girl After School Program.

Recently, during an opening circle, the girls were invited to give “proverbial flowers” to women in their lives.

One of them looked right at Nazaahah and said, “I want to give my flowers to my Mama Nazaahah…” then went on to share how deeply supported she felt this summer. 🥺💕

This is what bridging gaps and filling voids looks like for us.

We are committed to creating space to honor, connect, and grow together. 🌸

We have always held fast to our vision: a city and a world where Black girls and women thrive. 💕✨

Over the years, we’ve poured into mindfulness, entrepreneurship, and sisterhood with love and intention.

🚨As we close out 2025, we are entering a Q4 organizational pause.🚨

This means all programming and fiscal sponsorship services will be on hold while we:
🌱 Realign our resources
🌱 Strengthen financial sustainability
🌱 Center the well-being of our team and community

This pause is not an ending. This is a reset.

We are taking this step so that we can return in 2026 stronger, more sustainable, and ready to create deeper impact.

Registration is Open✨

The Whole Black Girl Afterschool program is a six-week cohort created just for Black girls in Baltimore, ages 13–17.

We’ll gather weekly at the Bmore Empowered Center to explore sisterhood, body awareness, and self-care practices rooted in Black cultural values.

Each session we’ll blend movement, mindfulness, and real-world conversations about mental health, safe relationships, and stress management.

A Special Thank you to our Village 💕💛

We would like to extend deep gratitude to the powerful village that made this summer unforgettable.

Each person that joined us for Summer Camp shared with kindness and helped build something meaningful.🥹

Through engaging sessions and thoughtful guidance, these village members poured their knowledge, creativity, and lived experience into every moment.

They sparked curiosity, strengthened confidence, and helped sharpen the girls’ approaches to collaboration, business planning, and personal growth.

This summer was proof that when the village shows up, transformation follows!
