Through century-old healing techniques, The Space Within Reiki provides mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual support to those asking the Universe for guidance. Founder Melisa Mitchell—a Holy Fire III Usui and Karuna Reiki master, Certified Medical Reiki Master, certified animal Reiki practitioner, certified crystal healer, empowerment coach, and experienced educator—was called to channel the life-force energy that surrounds us for the well-being of all. Through one-on-one and distance energy healing sessions, Melisa's purpose is to empower her community with the means to heal themselves and their communities, change their lives, and grow boundlessly into their highest best. Melisa is passionate about the importance of self-care and the support Reiki can give to a self-care regimen. Reiki energy can also be offered in support of conventional medical treatments for a variety of physical, mental, and emotional illnesses and conditions, including migraines, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, trauma, grief, side-effects from chemotherapy and other drugs, and many others.

The parking situation in Hampden is much improved, so we will be opening the shop for regular hours again starting this Wednesday, February 4th. Because it’s still crazy cold for the foreseeable future, we will be having limited hours because it’s so difficult (and expensive!) to heat the shop—we will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 12 to 5 until further notice. Thanks for hanging with us while this crazy winter works itself out! 🥶💚🙌

It’s still so messy in Hampden—parking is not available around the shop, and many of the sidewalks have spots that have not been cleared. Between the mess and the temperatures, we’ve decided to keep the shop closed through the weekend. We hope to reopen on Wednesday—we will update here next week! Stay warm and safe, everyone, especially if you are out at the protests! 👏🥶💚🙌

Hampden continues to be a frozen tundra, so the shop will stay closed for the next few days to give time for the city to clear things out so there is parking again. Chestnut and 36th are both passable, but the only parking nearby is on the back-in side of 36th, so it’s not super abundant. As soon as it makes sense to do so, the shop will reopen, and I plan to see clients in-person again starting on Friday. Stay tuned for more updates, and shop online in the meantime! (Link in bio.) 💚🙌
