WHY YOU NEED MASSAGE NOW
You need care when times are hard
Right now the goal is to overwhelm our communities.
Our task is to protect our community from that same overwhelm and threats.
There is a cycle of stress and trauma being intentionally used against us.
Massage, and other care modalities provided by Q***r bodyworkers, helps break the cycle.

Science has shown that stress triggers a physiological response that is useful to us, unless we're stuck in for too long. It becomes a negative feedback loop that can be broken with healing modalities, like massage and acupuncture, and through movement--especially outdoors in nature.

Right now we're being called to action, but our action must include our care. Luckily for Baltimore, there are plenty of Q***r folx who can be your guide in care and healing.

Calling all ye wicked hockey and women's sports fans!!

Chair massage and All-Star hockey Saturday, Aug 23, 4-8pm

Calling all hockey players and all women's hockey fans: grab your crew and meet top women's ice hockey players in the region, including former collegiate and professional players, at the DMV Women’s Hockey Sheroes vs. Baddies Duel and Tailgate on Saturday, August 23 at The Gardens Ice House.

All proceeds benefit Unmatched Athlete and LGBTQ+ youth in sports.

Game admission is FREE! Tickets are required to be eligible for door prizes. Meet women who are proving what's possible on the ice!

Wear any previous year's All-Star game jersey and earn an extra raffle ticket!

4:00-6:00 PM - Tailgate: Dress up as your favorite Sheroes or Baddie and join us in the parking lot for a Meet-and-Greet with players, a food truck, music, and representatives from across our community, including the Washington Capitals, and youth teams from across the region!

4:30 PM - 5:00 PM - All-Star Player Meet-and-Greet: Come out and meet the Sheroes and Baddies game players. DMV Women's Hockey will provide pucks for player autographs!

6:00 PM - 7:30 PM - All-Star Game: Head inside the rink for a classic battle — Sheroes vs. Baddies. DOOR PRIZES — including signed Washington Capitals gear.

EXCITING UPDATES TO MY TRAINING!

💀It's almost August! Don't know when that happened!

⛑I do know that are large chunk of my May and June went to earning my Wilderness First Responder Certification from NOLS Outdoor Education. It was a great program and I hope to build off it with Street Medic training from the soon.

👨‍⚕️I also continue to work towards my Orthopedic Medical Massage Therapist Certificate through Academy of Clinical massage. Now that the demands of the NOLS WFR hybrid course are out of the way, I can spend more time on this area of interest.

❤️I continue to look for ways to support our community in a time when s**t is dark and our community is being actively targeted by our government; whether that is in the skills I offer or the way I offer them. To make what I do accessible I have a sliding scale, will trade DIY swag for pay-it-forward contributions (see pinned posts), and accept pay-it-forward gift card purchases for folx who can't otherwise afford massage. While I can't accept insurance, I do accept trades. Some HSA/FSAs will cover/reimburse massage (you may need a referral). If you have an Afterpay account, you can break your payment into 4, plus the $25 deposit. Anyone on Disability or who has applied and been denied Disability because you are married or employed can inquire about pay-what-you-can options.
