Tonight our guys completed Mighty Men of Prayer class that Ryan was going through with them weekly. Today they received their certificate as they made their pledge and commitment to:
From this day forward I will endeavor to be a Mighty Man of Prayer, a Man of Uncommon Valor.
I WILL PURSUE a deeper, intimate relationship with God by spending time with Him in the Word and enjoying worship-based prayer daily.
I WILL PURSUE a deeper understanding of who I am in Christ, resting in my true identity as God’s son,
and relying on the promises of God in Scripture.
I WILL PURSUE a life of holiness and sexual purity, guarding my heart from any unconfessed and unrestrained sin, in order that I might see and glorify God more clearly.
I WILL PURSUE real relationships with other men of God, sharing my deepest struggles and holding myself accountable to at least one person on a regular, consistent basis.
I WILL PURSUE a deeper intimacy with my wife, and strive to love and cherish her as God does His Church.
I WILL PURSUE the defeat of Satan by putting on the full armor of God daily and engaging in the spiritual battle for the safety of my family, church and community.
I WILL PURSUE the cross and strive to reach others with the good news of Christ, committed to reaching out to those in need of Jesus.
