This February we welcomed three new residents to Martha’s Place. Today we’re honored to spotlight Tena.
Now nine months sober, Tena calls Martha’s Place a stepping stone toward independent living. She expressed that other programs rushed her to move on before she felt emotionally secure. “At Martha’s Place, I can breathe,” she shared. “I don’t feel pressured to leave before I’m fully prepared.”
A testament to the strength of this community, Tena was encouraged to apply for Martha’s Place by a former resident. She says she feels supported now, and grateful for the time and space to build a strong foundation.
A creative at heart, Tena loves sewing and takes small commissions. We’re proud to walk alongside Tena on her healing journey, one stitch and day at a time.
