Snow day today. Great day to spend some time in rest and digest mode. I talk about the importance of the parasympathetic side of the nervous system often. Here’s a great article that discusses its significance. “The ‘rest and digest’ system helps the body maintain homeostasis, or a relatively stable internal state, by balancing out the activity of the sympathetic nervous system that triggers the ‘fight or flight’ response.”

The parasympathetic nervous system is the housekeeping manager for the body.
