Our youth have been honored with the MARFY Youth Achievement Award for their extraordinary accomplishments over the past year! This award, presented by the Maryland Association of Resources for Families and Youth (MARFY), recognizes outstanding perseverance, leadership, and personal growth and our young people have truly exemplified all of these qualities.

Our Executive Director, Bryon Fracchia, serves as the Board President of MARFY, helping to guide and support statewide efforts that uplift youth and families across Maryland.

Congratulations to our amazing youth for this well-deserved recognition. Your hard work and determination inspire us every day. Thank you Maryland Nonprofits for having us!

What an incredible evening at the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore! Last night, we hosted our annual Building B’more Connections event, a gathering designed to foster meaningful relationships with community leaders who are deeply committed to supporting children and families and advocating access to mental health care in Maryland. The evening was a true success, and we look forward to continuing our inspiring conversations with our new connections made!

We were proud to share about our core therapeutic programs, and highlight our enhanced programming, such as the Comforts of Home, Aftercare, and the Work Program – programs designed for our youth to build resilience and offer lifelong skills and tools for continued success into adulthood. These programs are only made possible by the support of our generous community.

Guests also had the privilege of hearing from two of our incredible alumni, Darius and Robin, who shared their personal stories during the Fireside Chat facilitated by our Executive Director, Bryon Fracchia. Both Darius and Robin reflected on their experiences in our care, the milestones they’ve reached since, and the bright futures they’re building. We’re deeply grateful to the Nexus-Woodbourne Board of Directors, the Nexus Foundation Board of Directors, our amazing speakers and guests, and our evening sponsors for making this event possible.

Our Transition Services Program recently hosted our annual Life After Woodbourne event, a heartfelt afternoon filled with memories, laughter, and inspiration.

We were so proud to bring together our alumni, families, social workers, staff, and current youth to celebrate growth, resilience, and success. Our incredible alumni shared their journeys, offered motivational advice, received their Governor’s Citations, and inspired us with updates on all the amazing things they’re accomplishing beyond our campus.

Our staff and guest speakers also reflected on the meaningful work we do every day and how rewarding it is to see our youth thrive on and off campus.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and to all who continue to contribute to the impactful work we do. Together, we’re helping our youth build brighter futures!
