GOOD NEWS- You still have power during a high risk pregnancy. ​​​​​​​​​
A diagnosis, or even just a note in your chart about your BMI (🙄) can shake your confidence.

But you CAN make birth plans, you CAN feel informed about your health, and you CAN have a good birth and postpartum.
You can have a sense of safety again.

I’m going to talk about how clients have done this- next week!

Sometimes being a postpartum doula means offering to take the dog for a walk because you can see that your client is worried about the family dog being neglected because of the demands of a new baby. Peace of mind comes in many forms. My client was so happy to see that her dog trust me right away.

I started and edited the caption for this photo about 4 times. Not because I don't know what to say, but just because I don't even know how to put into words how breathtaking I think this image is. I could go on and on about about how I think pregnancy is so beautiful and how amazing women are and how incredible the scenery is that Mother Nature has provided us with. So, feel free to speak for me and let me know what word comes to mind first for you....."breathtaking" was the first that came to my mind.
