As part of our LiveWell Lecture Series and this month’s Flexibility-Focused Power Hour, residents joined RPP’s dynamic Fitness & Training Team, Michelle and Emma, for a session on Nutrition and Stretching for Joint Health. The class blended information with movement as participants explored consistent habits of hydration, and everyday foods can help support joint comfort and strength while practicing simple, effective stretches to keep the body moving with ease. This month, we also tie in stretching & well-being— stretch to release tension, calm the nervous system, and reduce everyday stress. Healthy joints and a relaxed body help power an active, vibrant life.

It is a great idea to take a walk amongst the art at one of RPP Residents’ favorite places, Baltimore Museum of Art. We walked, wandered, shopped, and got some well curated steps. Thank you, BMA for being right in our neighborhood for an afternoon that was nourishing for our minds, bodies, and artistic souls.

We were treated to a beautiful well-being outing to Brown Memorial Park Avenue Presbyterian Church. Our group enjoyed homemade cookies, a peaceful walk through the labyrinth, and a lovely tour of the sanctuary as afternoon sunlight danced through the historic Tiffany windows. The moment was made even more magical with live violin, flute, and organ music filling the space. Experiences like this bring us together in awe and connection, reminding us how nourishing beauty, history, and community can be for our well-being. Baltimore is full of spiritual, artistic, and living-well adventures, just a short RPP bus ride from our front door. Thank you Brown Memorial, for such an exquisite experience.

Congratulations to Katherine Dunham for being selected as February’s Associate of the Month! Katherine goes above and beyond for the Memory Care Residents. She performs small jobs that are so meaningful. She knows each resident’s food preference. She pays close attention to the residents and if she does not have it at hand, she will get it. She treats residents like family. Katherine is generous, loving, and kind to all residents, associates, and guests. Katherine is a true team leader. There is never a job too big for her to perform. She is dedicated and prompt, and has a professional relationship with her peers. Congratulations and a job well done, Katherine.
