On November 10th, a fire broke out in the building that houses The Womb Room, a community space for growing families.

While our studio was thankfully spared from the flames, the third floor suffered heavy damage, and our space experienced significant water damage and a window was broken during the firefighting efforts.

We are deeply grateful that everyone is safe — and that our beloved space still stands — but it will take several months before we can return home. In the meantime, we’re committed to continuing our classes, support groups, and community offerings by providing support virtually and from other temporary studio locations in the area.

We are completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support we’ve received from the community - it’s truly a humbling reminder that what The Womb Room does everyday is a service that is essential to the beautiful city in which we love. We appreciate every text, email, call, and offer for help. While we are working hard to adjust all of our classes into new spaces, we have created this page as a way for those who have been asking “how can I help?” to support The Womb Room through this unexpected transition.

Your contribution will help with temporary studio rentals, replacing damaged equipment, storage and cleanup costs, paying our team, and lost income from canceled classes.

Our mission has always been to hold space for those seeking to grow their families through life’s powerful transitions. Now, we find ourselves in a transition of our own, and we’re so thankful for the community that continues to hold us through it. If you can give, we are deeply grateful. If you can’t, your messages, shares, and presence mean just as much. Thank you for helping us rebuild so we can keep helping others heal, grow, and connect.

With love and gratitude, The Womb Room Team

Update after the fire:

The fire at the Castle has been contained, and everyone made it safely out of the building.

We’re incredibly thankful for the firefighters and first responders who showed up with care and dedication to keep everyone safe.

Our studio space is mostly intact, though there is water damage and no power at this time. We expect to be out of the Castle for a while as we assess next steps.

We will be sharing updates as we shift our offerings virtual or to alternate locations. Check back on our socials and subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date.

We have read all of your comments and messages and are so moved by the outpouring of love and support from each and every one of you. Thank you for holding  and supporting us through this difficult time.
