Chesapeake Practice Management is looking to hire a part time Medical Billing Specialist (24-30 hours per week) for our Medical Billing Company and Call Center.

Job Responsibilities Include:
- Answer multi channel ticketing system
- Perform insurance eligibility checks
- Perform medical authorization requests
- Enter superbills into PM system with correct CPT and ICD10 codes
- Approve e-superbills
- Reconcile electronic and paper ERA/EOB
- Perform AR Reconciliation utilizing several insurance portals
- Bill/Rebill insurance claims
- Answer multiline telephone system and accurately triage patient requests
- Answer billing questions as it pertains to deductible, coinsurance, and copayment responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently schedule patients into the scheduling system with minimal errors
- Accurately verify insurance eligibility and correct insurance packages
- Follow detailed protocol to correctly triage and schedule patients
- Achieve compliance for all Quality Assurance evaluations
- Other duties as assigned

Required:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Legal work authorization in US
- Experience in medical office (May substitute applicable education)

Preferred:
- Certified Medical Assistant or
- Certified Professional Coder or
- Call Center Experience
- Kareo PM/EHR Experience
