More than 225 middle school students from North Bend Elementary/Middle School and St. Ignatius Loyola Academy in Baltimore joined us for – Go Out and Love Science – an immersive educational experience designed to spark interest in healthcare careers.

From practicing suturing a wound to learning cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) under a disco ball, middle school students experienced how science can open doors to meaningful, life-changing careers. They also met real-life role healthcare models who inspired them to imagine what's possible through education and curiosity.

We thank Coppin State University, the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Ascension Foundation for collaborating with us to inspire the healthcare professionals of the future!

Meet one of our incredible nurses who shares the story of her calling. She knew she wanted to be a nurse while watching the compassionate care her grandmother received during a battle with cancer.

This spirit of loving service is the heartbeat of Ascension. While our sites of care each have their own unique history, this deep commitment to care is the thread that unites us and ties into a legacy of service that goes back several centuries, inspired by the healing ministry of Jesus.
