Dear Greenspring Pediatric Dentistry family,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. We have been
closely following recommendations from the U.S. Center for Disease Control,
American Dental Association, as well as the MD State Board of Dentistry. We
have missed you and have been preparing for our return, ensuring that, as
always, we adhere to the highest levels of infection control and safety.
As best as possible, we are going to try and maintain “social distancing” between
patients. To this end, we will be spacing out appointments and removing some
seats in the waiting area. In the short term, there may be fewer appointment
times available. While we remain committed to your family's safety and
providing a great dental experience for your child, please understand that we
have had to implement some changes.
For your child’s safety, you may see that our waiting room will no longer offer
magazines, coffee, and toys since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
All visitors will be required to wear their own face covering.
Only one adult may accompany each patient to an appointment, unless an
additional aide or assistant is required.
Arrive as close to your appointment time as possible. If you arrive more then 15
min early, please text or call the office to let them know you are here and wait in
your car until asked to come in.
We have implemented strict screening of our patients and visitors prior to
appointments with temperature measuring and triage questions. Our staff will
adhere to similar protocols.
Our staff will be wearing additional protective equipment, in order to comply
with ADA recommendations, but please know that behind the masks and face
shields are still the same warm and friendly faces looking forward to giving your
child an “air high five.”
If your child had an appointment that needed to be rescheduled and you did not
make another appointment, please call our office at 410-484-4401 or email us
at info@greenspringpediatricdentistry.com to make an appointment.
We want to thank you in advance for your understanding and being our patient.
We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to seeing each and every one
of your children in the office again.
Thank you from all of us here at Greenspring Pediatric Dentistry

Dear Greenspring Pediatric Dentistry Family,

In an effort to support national efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, our practice is taking the following steps to help assure your health and well-being and that of our community:

· We are following directives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a way to limit patient and staff exposure to this virus.
· Your health, and the health of our dedicated staff, matters to us, so going forward we will suspend all non-emergency care until further notice.
· Patients will be seen only for urgent and emergency dental needs.

We will contact you soon to reschedule routine hygiene appointments. If you are already scheduled for an urgent issue, we will contact you the day before your appointment to discuss your health status, health screening protocols and confirm whether the appointment should be kept. Of course, please call us right away if you have a dental emergency or need immediate care. At that time, if possible, we ask that one parent only bring children with an appointment to the office and leave other siblings at home.

The safety and well-being of our patients continues to be our primary concern. We will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 nationally and within our community and keep you up-to-date regarding our plans to reopen for business as usual.

I urge you to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We can be reached by phone at 410-484-4401 or by email to staff@greenspringpediatricdentistry.com and will respond as soon as we can.

Stay safe,

Dr. Neel Satpute and the Staff of Greenpring Pediatric Dentistry

Dear Greenspring Pediatric Dentistry Family,

The CDC, the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry have recommended the suspension of all non-urgent dental care for at least 3 weeks. This decision was made after careful consideration of scientific evidence as well as consulting with national public health experts. By limiting non-emergency care, the goal is to help “flatten the curve” and slow the spread of the virus.

While we hope to play our part in mitigating the spread of the virus, we also understand that some of our valued patients have dental care that needs to be addressed either due to pain or infection. Our office will be open on a limited schedule to accommodate those patients who have urgent dental needs. For the safety of our patients, family and staff, most other appointments will need to be rescheduled. I completely understand how this can pose an inconvenience to all and we will do our best to accommodate and reschedule all appointments in a timely manner.

Please contact my office if your child is experiencing a dental emergency. In addition, for the near term, we will be removing some the entertainment items from our waiting room (books, toys, and magazines). We're currently planning to resume seeing patients on April 6th, but this is subject to change based on the recommendations of the Maryland State Dental Association. At that time, if possible, we ask that parents only bring children with an appointment to the office and leave other siblings at home.

It truly is an honor and privilege being able to take care of your children and this was a difficult decision to make. I thank you for your understanding.

Stay safe,

Dr. Neel Satpute and the Staff of Greenpring Pediatric Dentistry
