📢 NEW in our MAT and Mobile Clinics! We’re now offering HPV self‑collection testing — a cervical cancer screening that doesn't require a pelvic exam. It's fast. It's more private. And as MAT Registered Nurse Erin Levitt shares, it puts more control in the hands of clients.

February 26 is coming up — don’t miss the chance to make your voice heard at the Keep the Door Open Rally in Annapolis!

Join us in standing up for the more than 1 million Marylanders who live with a mental health or substance use disorder.
We are urging the General Assembly to provide adequate funding for critical mental health and substance use care. But we need your help. Legislators need to know how important this issue is to the public.

People and families experiencing homelessness face huge barriers to housing—even when they have vouchers or other rental assistance meant to help. Watch Chief Behavioral Health Officer Lawanda Williams testify in support of SB335, a bill that would ensure prospective tenants are evaluated fairly.

Lawanda testified alongside advocates from Public Justice Center, Renters United Maryland, Baltimore Regional Housing Partnership, Maryland Legal Aid Economic Action Maryland Fund, Interfaith Works and more. Thank you to bill sponsor Senator Sara Love.

Punishing people for experiencing homelessness doesn’t create stability—it creates harm.

This week, Malcolm Williams, our Director of Community Relations & Engagement, testified (alongside Board Member Mark Council, Consumer Relations Committee member Dorsheena Hagler, former Board Member James Crawford of Housing Our Neighbors, and advocates from National Health Care for the Homeless Council and National Homelessness Law Center) in support of HB104, to require law enforcement to offer shelter before issuing tickets or making arrests.
