I truly don’t know if dream team even fully captures how lucky I feel about these incredible women! They put up with my ADHD brain, my grief brain, and my juggling of all the hats (& even helping me find the few I lose along the way). I hope the Baltimore community feels as lucky as I do to have them be part of Team Pelvic Pride ❤️

And to have so many smiles and laughs captured by the amazing is the icing on the cake!

This 📸 is by me - I will not insult her photog skills with this blurry selfie I took without clarifying that her gems will be posted as soon as we have them (good things come to those who wait!)

In this workshop, you can expect to learn:
✨ways to facilitate physiological birth by understanding the anatomy and physiology of the pelvis
✨how to prevent stalls during various stages of labor
✨movements and strategies for each stage of labor, based on your baby’s location in the pelvis
breathing techniques for pushing, to see what feels best in your body
✨how to facilitate pelvic floor healing and reconnection in postpartum, in the case of a c-section

While this workshop is appropriate for all types of births, whether in a hospital or at home, special attention will be paid to ways movement might be restricted during hospital birthing. Tips will be provided to help increase pelvic mobility and relaxation in the case of continuous monitoring or use of an epidural.

Recently, while listening to the amazing present on body inclusivity in practice, it dawned on me that we need to be louder and clearer about the ways we are body inclusive at Pelvic Pride.

She talked about something that often gets overlooked: the physical space itself — including furniture that is rated for higher weights. And while this has always been important to us, we realized we’ve never explicitly said it out loud.

So we fixed that.

We’ve added a new FAQ to our website that clearly outlines the weight ratings for the chairs and treatment tables at each of our clinics. Because we want every patient to walk into our space feeling confident — not stressed about where to sit, whether something will hold them, or if they’ll have to ask an uncomfortable question.

Body inclusivity isn’t a buzzword for us. It’s built into the way we design our space, deliver care, and welcome you through the door.

Take a look, and if there’s something you’re wondering about, tell us. We’re always listening — and always working to do better.
