Social work is part of and part of our future.
While progress has been made, we still have a long way to go. Today, only about 20% of social workers in the United States are Black, despite the deep and ongoing need for culturally grounded support in Black and Brown communities.
That’s why this work matters.
Because history matters.
Because is not just individual — it’s historical, communal, and generational.
Because perspective matters when someone is seeking help.
Cultural isn’t a for us. It’s understanding how lived experience, systemic inequities, family structures, faith, community, and survival shape how people show up in care. It’s knowing how to meet people where they are — without judgment and without explanation being required.
We do this work because our communities deserve to be seen, heard, and supported by people who truly understand.
If you’re looking for support that gets you, come join our village.
We got you. 💙🧡🩵
