Dr. Tanya Nichols, Pediatric Psychologist at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, recently joined the Indie Soul Magazine Podcast to highlight the importance of supporting foster, adoptive, grandparent, and kinship caregivers. 💙

During the conversation, Dr. Nichols emphasized the need for safe, judgment-free spaces where caregivers can come together—to connect, encourage one another, and grow.

At Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, we are committed to supporting the whole family, recognizing the vital role caregivers play in a child’s health and well-being.

Over the weekend, we received an incredible donation of more than 75 Jared Boxes from Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society! 🎁

These thoughtful gifts were the result of a collaborative service project led by alumni across multiple regions, including the Middle States (MD, PA, DE, NJ, and DC) as well as Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio.

We’re so grateful for the generosity and teamwork that made this impact possible—thank you to everyone involved in bringing comfort and smiles to those who need it most! 💛

There’s nothing better than going home. 🏡💙

We’re proud to celebrate several of our MWPH patients who were recently discharged and reunited with their families! Each of these journeys began at University of Maryland Golisano Children's Hospital, and we’re grateful to continue the path to recovery. A special thank you to our partners for trusting us with their patients’ continued care.

Wishing these families all the best as they begin this next chapter at home. ✨

Happy Doctors’ Day! 🩺

Today we celebrate our incredible physicians who provide expert, compassionate care to our patients every single day. We are so grateful for your dedication to MWPH and the children and families we serve.

To show our appreciation, the day started with a hot breakfast and ended with a special roaming snack station courtesy of our amazing nurse leadership team.

Thank you for all that you do — today and every day! 💙

In honor of , Dr. Bernadette Crowder, neonatologist and health impact and engagement officer at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, spent time with 4th–8th grade students at Sandtown-Winchester Achievement Academy—sparking meaningful conversations about the power of education, the impact of women throughout history, and the limitless possibilities ahead of them.

From sharing her own journey to encouraging each student to dream big, Dr. Crowder reminded these young leaders that their voices matter and their futures are bright.

Here’s to inspiring the next generation of changemakers. 💜

Opening Day at MWPH was a home run! ⚾🧡
Our staff showed their spirit by supporting the Orioles in their orange, and our Child Life & Therapeutic Recreation team knocked it out of the park with a fun baseball activity for our patients.

Now, let's go O's! 💫

A little paint, a lot of joy. Through color, creativity, and a little bit of mess, our child life team helps kids express themselves, reduce stress, and just be kids—even in a hospital setting.

March is Child Life Month 💙

Our Child Life and Therapeutic Recreation team plays a vital role in helping patients build mobility, strengthen social skills, practice everyday manners, and continue their developmental growth during their hospital stay.

Through MWPH’s weekly Community Reentry Outings, patients gain real-world experience and confidence as they prepare to transition back into their communities after treatment.

We’re proud to highlight the incredible work of our colleagues and the meaningful impact they make in every patient’s journey. Learn more about how they’re helping patients take the next step forward.
