In an effort to reduce health disparities, the LGBT Health Resource Center (LHRC) provides LGBTQ individuals and their families with welcoming access to expert health information and resources that will enhance wellness and quality of life. The LGBT Health Resource Center focuses its work on providing resources and information, delivering education and training, and creating direct community programing. Open enrollment can be confusing. We’re here to help! Get help and support from us by scheduling an appointment: 410-837-2050 x8813. Or visit our team during our walk-in hours:

Our amazing POWER Project team was recently honored by B & Dee's Baltimore Love, Inc. with the 2025 Demetrius Mallisham Award!

This meaningful award is given to an organization that exemplifies the mission and values of that organization, provides essential resources to Baltimore's most vulnerable populations, inspires others to give back, and believes in making Baltimore a better place for everyone!

"I am so very proud of the work we do as a department to ensure our patient’s needs are met. It is a great feeling when the community and stakeholders recognize it as well," said Tonya Williamson, Program Manager. "The most important part of this award is that Demetrius was such an important community advocate. This award presented by Demetrius family on behalf of B&Dee’s has a special placeholder for us as the family travels two hours into Baltimore to personally present the honor. It speaks volumes on grace, mercy and appreciation!"

We're so excited to welcome Marianne Kirchgessner LCSW-C, the newest staff therapist at our Mt. Vernon Center! Marianne says:

"I was drawn to Chase Brexton because of the commitment to health care justice through the provision of inclusive, comprehensive care. I am excited to join a collaborative and diverse team of healthcare providers that truly care about the community and vulnerable populations they serve. Chase Brexton was recently certified as an Overdose Response Program by the Maryland Department of Health. As a certified program, we're able to provide training both for staff and the community on how to recognize and respond to an individual experiencing an opioid overdose, as well as distribute the lifesaving medication naloxone (Narcan) to use in the event of an opioid overdose.
