It can happen so quickly: your baby rolls…and suddenly they’re on the floor. 😟 It’s one of the scariest moments for parents, but the good news is, often, the baby is okay.

Falls from beds and furniture are common in babies under one year, and the majority don’t result in serious injury. What matters most is knowing what signs to look out for. Dr. Alicia Bazzano, an emergency pediatrician at MedStar Health, told The Bump that a baby’s behavior often tells us more and earlier than any scan.

Learn what to watch for and how to know when it’s time to call 9-1-1. See the 🔗 in our comments to read Dr. Bazzano’s expert guidance for new parents.
