Bancroft EMS spent 2.5 hours on Monday night reviewing their annual skills training, which includes procedures such as 12 leads, intubation and suction, medication dosages, monitor system operation, and protocols and procedures to ensure the best care for Bancroft residents and surrounding communities.

NOW is the perfect time if you have any interest! Right now the class is in Emmetsburg, but if they can get at least 8 students they can hold classes in Algona!

Tuition will be 100% covered by the city.

Iowa Lakes Community College will be offering an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician). EMT class is in Emmetsburg and IF we can get 8 students we can hold one at the EMS building in ALGONA! Every service out there in your community needs more volunteers. If you have been interested now is the time! Go online and register today! There are different options to assist in covering the tuition cost. Contact any member of your local service, Kossuth County EMS, or ILCC.

Everyone needs to know about calling 911 in an emergency. But kids also need to know the specifics about what an emergency is. Asking them questions like, "What would you do if we had a fire in our house?" or "What would you do if someone is choking or having trouble breathing?" gives you a chance to discuss emergencies and what to do if one happens.
