Arthur Nagel Community Clinic Providing no-cost primary and preventative care for Bandera County residents who meet certain income guidelines.

Visit nagelclinic.org or call (830) 796-3448 to make an appointment. We are open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8am to 5pm. ANCC was set up by Bandera County Helping Hand in conjunction with Mr. Arthur Nagel of Kerrville and the Bandera community to provide free healthcare to Bandera County residents who had no medical insurance and whose income did not exceed the 200% Federal Poverty Guideline. To date 7,000 people in Bandera County qualify for our services out of a population of 20,960.

December is also Seasonal Affective Disorder awareness month! Seasonal Affective Disorder (aka SAD) is something that affects many people during the winter months due to colder weather and less sunlight exposure which can cause depression.

If you or someone you know is suffering from SAD and wants some help on how to cope during this time, call The Clinic at 830-796-3448 to schedule an appointment to talk to a provider.

Here are a few tips on planning ahead to prevent drunk or drugged driving this holiday season!

1) Always plan ahead. Designate a sober driver, and arrange for an alternative route home just in case.
2) If you are a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or even friend, talk to your loved ones to remind them how important it is to be responsible and stay safe.
3) If you are the one hosting the party, always offer a non-alcoholic option for drinks for your guests so they can still have a good time eating and drinking with everyone else!

1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in their lifetime. It is easily treatable if found in the beginning stages. It is recommended to start screening for Prostate cancer at age 45 however if you have a family history, they may want to start screening earlier.
